*Go for Gold Champions Fund
George  Skuodas, the Olympic and America Cup yachtsman, presented the grants for 2010 of £700 to 8 of our local athletes who are still in the race for 2012. A further 4 who are contenders for 2016 were given grants of £100. Full report is on the website (HERE).

Grateful thanks to Charterhouse Club for a further donation of £1060 and to GOLO for £500.

Great news too that Go for Gold is the 2010 charity of the year of the Godalming Chamber of Commerce.

Spectrum Savate Club based at Broadwater School has 2 fighters who won silvers at the European Championships. Full report on the website (HERE).

They will also be hosting this years World Savate Championships at Broadwater in June.

*AGM
A reminder that the AGM will be held on 25 March at Holloway Hill Sports Association Clubhouse 7.45 for 8pm. Agenda to follow later but the keynote speaker will be Roger Steel the Waverley Councillor responsible for Sport and Leisure talking about the plans for a new Godalming Leisure Centre. Exciting news and all will be welcome so bring along any friends who may be interested.
