Previous awards

Our most recent Grant aid award went to talented Savate (French Kickboxing) athlete Michael Grove who trains at the "Spectrum Savate Club" now based at Broadwater School Gym, Summers Rd, Farncombe.

Michael (16 years old) has shown great potential and natural ability and has won the Great Britain Savate Federation (GBSF) League for his weight category in 2010 and 2011.

Michael was selected to represent GB in the first ever International Savate Federation (FIS) World Championships specifically for the "Youth" section (16 – 19yrs) held in Lyon France in July 2011. Despite tough competition he came fourth which is a tremendous achievement. We look forward to a demonstration of Savate from Michael and his club at our Go for Gold award ceremony on 25th November.
